Scoring
Mill Cities Relay Club Championship
The Mill Cities Relay (MCR) brings together 21 clubs from the Mill Cities Alliance. Each club can enter an unlimited number of relay teams across any division. For a full list of divisions, visit the Race Info page.
To compete, runners must be active members in good standing with their club. A runner cannot score for more than one team. If a runner participates on two scoring teams, only the faster team's time will count toward the club championship standings.
At the end of the race, the top club earns the prestigious Mill Cities Relay Champion Trophy. The runner-up receives the Martin Cardoza Award, and the third-place club is honored with the Jack Pierce Award. These awards carry on a -year tradition of recognizing excellence, with the top three clubs' names engraved on the Champion Trophy each year.
How Scoring Works
Championship standings are determined by adding up the points earned by a club's top-finishing teams across all scoring divisions.
In each division, points are awarded based on team placement. The first-place team earns N points, where N equals the number of clubs with finishing teams in that division. The second-place team earns (N-1) points, the third-place team earns (N-2) points, and so on.
If a club has multiple teams in the same division, only the highest-placing team will earn points for the club. However, if a second team from the same club finishes in the top three, they will still receive a brick.
